COLOR.BUG

In the world of session styling I’m always looking for new ways to change the models hair.  Wild crazy colour became the new hot thing but you cant just colour a models hair just because you feel like it. I wanted full on colour but without the commitment!  I had had my share of moments where I wanted crazy colour hair on a Friday, but come Monday morning I didn’t want my crazy colour anymore.

I want to be able to put it on and just as easily take it off. I thought to myself why cant hair colour be just as easy as applying make-up? I had been experimenting with pigments since the 80’s obsessed with the powdered wigs of the French Revolution. The influence came from those times but I wanted it to be intense and almost fluro as it is the intense flash of colour that makes it modern. COLOR.BUG is wipe on, wipe off colour!  It’s just for fun and just for the one night. With a towel draped around your shoulders to protect your clothes, I would apply a hair product and then the COLOR.BUG to make it stick. The COLOR.BUG adds body to hair, you can keep this raw texture or add a fine mist of hairspray to lock on the colour. (Excerpt from Kevin Murphy)

 The end of the year is quickly approaching, which can be scary and exciting all at the same time. But at Hair by Diane, we are very excited to be ringing in a New Year. As we prepare for another great year, we want to give you the opportunity to start fresh. We will be having a drawing for a “New Year, New You” make-over. During the month of December, you will have several opportunities to be entered in our drawing for any color service and a haircut & style. The winner will be picked on New Year’s Eve. Your first opportunity to be entered into the drawing will be Saturday, November 26th. The requirement to be entered into the drawing on Saturday will be to have ANY service done in the salon. We have several different options to choose from. You could get a haircut, a manicure, a facial, brow wax, shampoo & style, and the list goes on and on. For each service you have, your name will be entered once. For example: If you get a manicure and haircut & style, your name will be entered twice, one entry for each service. Stay tuned throughout the month of December to find out how you can be entered again!

Hair by Diane is very excited to announce that we will be the featured salon at this year’s bridal fair. It will be on Sunday, January 22nd from 1-4pm at the Lubbock Civic Center. This is our first year and we are very excited to be participating. We will be offering complementary event styles and airbrush make-up for anyone who wants to feel pampered.
